GP Patient Survey 2019 – Fylde Coast Highlights – FOR INFO
The GP Patient Survey 2019 was published in July 2019 and reflects on people’s experience of healthcare services provided by GP surgeries, including access to GPs, making appointments, the quality of care received from GPs and practice nurses, satisfaction with opening hours and out-of-hours NHS services.
The majority of the 4,346 people who responded across the Fylde Coast are positive about their GP care – with almost 86% in Blackpool (85% in 2018 and 87% in 2017) and 84% in Fylde and Wyre (87% in 2018 and 86% in 2017) rating their overall experience of their GP surgery as good or very good (compared to 83% nationally).
More than nine in 10 respondents said they found the receptionist at their GP practice helpful (90% in Fylde and Wyre, representing a drop of 2%; 91% in Blackpool, representing no change from 2018), which is slightly above the national average of 89%.
